November Update: Roll Out the Kingpin

We’re cruising into November with a fresh Beach Buggy Racing 2 update that’s all about style, shine, and street royalty. BBR2 v 2025.11.06 brings a brand-new lowrider, a slick special-edition skin, and new gold-skin missions to chase. Let’s go!

New Car: Kingpin

Meet Kingpin, a classic lowrider built from equal parts chrome and confidence. Lay it low off the line, glide through corners, and strut your style. But don’t let the laid-back vibes and legendary looks fool you: this king earns his title. Expect confident handling and a powerful V8 along with that swagger you only get when you’re riding dropped and polished. Claim your crown with Kingpin.

New Micro EX Skin: Urban Vortex

Micro EX just found its alter ego. Urban Vortex swirls bold purple energy with a street-art vibe — tight lines, tribal curves, and hypnotic motion. It’s the kind of livery that makes a pack part just a little when you pull up to the grid.

Cassettebot outfit drops the beat

Remember when we rolled out a special skin alongside the Beat Bot plush doll, and the people who bought the plush got the skin for free, before everyone else? Well, now we’re making that skin generally available. So pop open your boom box and drop the tape in, becasue it’s time to bounce your opponents with some old skool beats.

Gold kits for Esper A28 & Kartwheeler

Two fan favorites get the Midas treatment. Esper A28 and Kartwheeler are are both ready to shine when you complete their new missions. Actually Kingpin comes ready made with a gold skin mission track, so technically that’s THREE new gold skins.

Notice: 32bit device warning

Sometime early next year we are going to start requiring 64bit hardware for Beach Buggy Racing 2. What this means is that if you play on a 32bit device right now you will see a warning; and next year after we make the switch, you won’t be able to get updates on that device.

Why are we doing this?

New Android devices (made after 2019 or so) are built on 64bit CPU systems, and future Android operating systems will only work if you have a 64bit device. We need to make this change to stay compliant with future changes in the Android SDK, as well as address some support issues that are only happening on older 32bit devices.

We know this will be an inconvenience for some players, and we will do our best to make sure the process of moving your game to a new device is as smooth as possible.

What you can do

  1. Make sure your game is secured using your email address. If you haven’t already, click the Profile button and secure your account with an email address and password. This will ensure that your game is saved online and you won’t lose any progress.

  2. Upgrade your phone or device hardware. If you’re buying a used phone, make sure it’s 64bit (any phone made after 2020 should be)

  3. Install the game on your new device. Log in with your email address, and continue playing where you left off.

Even if you can’t get a new device right away, if you secure your game with an email address your BBR2 game progress will be preserved until you can get a compliant device.
